The Story of Mehrima

The desire to build an identity of her own and create something meaningful inspired Rabeya Mollika to dream beyond herself. Driven by her own needs and the desire for financial independence, she took the initiative to start the journey of Mehrima.

But as the journey progressed, Rabeya realized that this dream should not belong to her alone. There were many women like her who wanted to use their skills, contribute to their families, and build an identity of their own.

That realization gave Mehrima a bigger purpose.

Rather than focusing only on herself, Rabeya decided to stand beside women in rural communities, create opportunities for them, and help them become self-reliant.

To turn this vision into reality, the journey extended from village to village. Women from different communities were connected with Mehrima, provided with training, taught practical skills, and given opportunities to turn their abilities into meaningful work.

Today, that small initiative has gradually grown into a family.

25 women are now working with Mehrima. Behind every handmade creation is the story of a woman—her dreams, her hard work, her skills, and her journey toward building an identity of her own.

We believe that: When a woman becomes self-reliant, it is not only her life that changes—it creates a positive impact on her family and the wider community.

Mehrima is therefore more than just a brand. It is an ongoing story of women’s dreams, skills, dignity, and self-reliance.
